ENGINEERING AND COMPLETE SET OF EQUIPMENT
YMEC has participated in many construction tasks in large, medium and small-scale hydropower projects both domestically and internationally. It has supplied complete set of electromechanical equipment for hydropower projects in China and other countries.
In 1986, YMEC successfully completed her first work in hydropower sector. The Betasso Hydropower Station is located in XX State of USA. The station is installed with 3100 kilowatt and was highly praised by the America owner.
Being an old friend of the Union of Myanmar, YMEC had jointly built 18 hydropower projects including the Zaungtu Hydropower Projects as well as the 280-megawatt Puanglaung Project. The 140-megawatt Upper Puanglaung Hydropower Project is another ongoing project under cooperation between YMEC and DHPI of Myanmar. On December 30, 2006, the BOT Agreement on Shweli (1) Hydropower Project was signed by YUPD and DHPI. This is China’s first ever hydropower BOT project in the Union of Myanmar and YMEC is one of the shareholders of YUPD.
In Vietnam, YMEC was selected as the first contractor from China through international competitive bidding to build hydropower project. The Nammu Hydropower Station was jointly constructed by YMEC and Song Da Corporation of Vietnam. The project had won the National Quality Award of Vietnam. YMEC also participate in construction of the 314 megawatt Tuyenquang Hydropower Project. Tuyenquang project is scheduled to generate electric power in 2007 and shall be the biggest one in Vietnam.
